National Center for Latino Child & Family Research
Mission Statement
To increase the in-depth understanding and visibility of Latino child and family issues by:
- Reviewing, synthesizing, translating and disseminating information drawn from existing research, to multiple audiences and in multiple formats, including web-based resource materials.

Conducting new research that addresses issues of relevance to Latino children and families, both independently and in partnership with other researchers and research organizations.

Helping to increase the representation of Latino families and children in major research efforts, including ongoing state and/or national studies.

Influencing the design and methodologies of key policy-relevant research efforts.

Contributing to the development and refinement of assessment measures that more accurately and appropriately assess the growth and development of Latino children and families.

Building research capacity and infrastructure within the field, including developing and creating partnerships with research consortia and networks, providing opportunities for mentoring new researchers interested in studying Latino issues.

Providing research-based, technical assistance to efforts within the practitioner community.
